Mary L. Stevens of Nottingham, PA, age 74, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. She was born on July 19, 1944 in Colora, MD to the late Francis Eckles MacCauley and Virginia Eve (McGlothlin) MacCauley.
Mary graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1962. She retired from Pepperidge Farms, Downingtown, PA in 2015 after over 30 years of service. Mary was a private person that loved her 2010 Mustang GT and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family where she would garden with her grandchildren or bake treats for the whole family.
Mary is survived by her husband of 30 years, Barry Stevens of Nottingham, PA; daughter, Deborah Murphy of Townsend, DE; step-son, Barry Stevens, Jr of West Grove, PA; three grandchildren: William Joseph (Jami) Keys II of Magnolia, DE, Jessica Nicole Chambers of Townsend, DE and Heather Lynn Ford of Yoe, PA; three great-grandchildren: Larrisa Leann Ford of Yoe, PA; William Joseph Keys III of Magnolia, DE and Tanner Dwight Ford of Yoe, PA; three brothers: Francis “Buddy” (Donna) MacCauley of Rising Sun, MD, Richard MacCauley of Louisa, VA, and Ronnie MacCauley of Bumpass, VA; seven sisters: Ruth Barker of Oxford, PA; Joan Sexton of Olympia, WA, Elaine (Elwood) Morrison of New Castle, DE, Sandra (James) McClure of Landenberg, PA, Peggy (Larry) Wentzel of Kirks Mill, PA, Patricia Jernigan, Carol (Robert) King and Laura “Beatle” (Joe) King, all of Bumpass, VA; as well as numerous extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her twin sister, Gertrude Emile Hamm and brother, Robert Thomas MacCauley.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church, 133 Harrisville Rd., Colora, MD 21917, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10am. Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery.
