Mary Kathryn “Kat” MacDonald, 60, of New Castle, DE, passed away December 16, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown, MD.
Born in Gaulley Bridge, WV on March 11, 1954, Kat was the daughter of Fay Long and the late Warren Long. She was an animal lover and has gone to meet her beloved dog, Ruggy, who died in 2012, at the Rainbow Bridge. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her companion, Michael MacDonald, Sr. of New Castle; two sons, Samuel Sech and his wife Jennifer of Elkton, MD and Michael MacDonald of Delaware; a sister Sherry Rust and her husband Jeff of Elkton; and 3 grandchildren, Morgan, Regan and Samantha Sech, all of Elkton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Michael Long and her sister Rebecca Long.
Services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to Faithful Friends and mailed to R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
