Mary K. Atwood, 71, of Rising Sun, MD passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Christiana Hospital.
Born in Baltimore, MD on June 29, 1942, Mary was the daughter of the late George and Mary (McComas) Hammel. Mary loved cats, especially her beloved cat, Meow.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Cecil W. Atwood; and three sons, Samuel Serio of Aberdeen, MD, Joseph Serio of Forest Hill, MD, and Daniel Serio, of Delta, PA; step-daughter, Terry Irwin of Rising Sun, MD and grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Stevie, and Sam.
Services will be held at 11am Thursday, December 5, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10am. Burial to follow at Highview Memorial Gardens.
