Mary E. Allen Haggerty, age 93, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012. She was born on October 18, 1918 in Wilmington, DE to the late Willard and Carrie (Hemphele) Dougherty.
She is survived by her sons, William O. ‘Bill’ Allen of Kissimmee, FL and Hugh Allen of Middletown, DE; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh P. Allen in 1974 and Joseph Haggerty in 2011; and son, Martin ‘Marty’ Allen in 2011.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at R.T. Foard and Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, where friends and family may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Newark Cemetery.
