Mary Katherine Crossan, 79, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home.
Born July 23, 1937 in Wilmington, DE, Mary was the daughter of the late Thomas Austin Rees and the late Meriam (Almon) Rees. Mary worked at W. L. Gore as a production worker where she retired in 2002. She enjoyed watching the Philadelphia sports teams – the Eagles, Phillies, and the Flyers. She was known to “speak her peace” and she loved to work.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Jeff Crossan of Rising Sun, MD and Marcus Crossan and his wife, Alexis of Port Deposit, MD; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Harry Rees of New Castle, DE; and her two sisters, Jane Gulf of New Castle, DE and Lilly Capadano of Greenville, DE.
Including her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerald Crossan and her son Jerald Crossan, Jr.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
