Mark Anthony Reed, age 24, of Newark, DE, passed away on January 16, 2018. He was born on February 14, 1993 in Newark, DE, the son of James Robert Reed and Trudy Winnona (Hanna) Reed of Newark.

Mark was employed as a cook at the Stone Balloon Wine House in Newark, DE. Among his favorite past times were fishing, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with his friends. Mark especially enjoyed bonfires and movie Westerns. He was a graduate of Hodgson Vocational Technical High School.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his sister, Crystal Hanna; his brother, James Reed, III; niece, Elizabeth; nephew, Andrew; and his grandmother, Brenda Kessler. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Jean Reed; maternal grandfather, Frank Hanna; maternal step-grandfather, Jerry Kessler; and his niece, Ashley Hanna.

A visitation celebrating Mark’s life will be held between 10AM and 12 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark DE, 19711. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health” and sent in care of the funeral home.
