Marjorie N. Herron

Marjorie Nancy Haggerty Herron, 92, of Elkton, MD died peacefully at home with her son, Larry and wife, Debbie, daughter, Diane and grandchildren, Lindsey, Leslee, Michael and Kelly by her side on October 14, 2022

Marjorie was born in Earlville, Maryland on August 14, 1930, to John Haggerty and Anna Husfelt Haggerty.  She graduated from Chesapeake City High School.  In addition to raising her five children, she owned and operated Margie’s Sandwich Board in Elkton, MD, and Swan Cove and Herron’s Deli in Duck, NC.

Marjorie enjoyed gardening, watching the Orioles and playing cards. She was also an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Herron and children, Richard A. Herron Jr. and Teresa Herron Watson.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Larry (Debbie) Herron of Asheville, NC, daughter, Diane (Michael) Campbell of Havre De Grace, MD, and sister, Josephine (Earl) Woodall of Chesapeake City, MD.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
