Marion Lucille Darr, 72, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully July 3, 2013 at Genesis Healthcare Elkton Center.

Marion was born in Baltimore, MD on July 27, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Lillian Smith. Marion was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, BINGO, listening to music, and loved her animals.

Surviving her is her son Donald Darr Sr, two daughters, Brenda Darr and her companion Ricardo Moreno of Elkton; Deborah Brooks of West Virginia ,nine grandchildren, Richard Darr and his companion Whitney Bernardi, Crystal Darr and her companion Ken Owens, Donald Darr Jr, Roger Allen Darr, Juana Darr, Paula Brooks, Neddie Bernie, Amber Sharp, Brandon Darr, and four great grandchildren Vincent and Diana Owens, and Miguel and Gabrielle Darr, two brothers, Edward and Bruce Smith and a sister, Patricia Hickey and her husband John. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Darr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Thoughts and prayers to all of the family . I know what a major loss this has to be for all of you. May God give you comfort at this very difficult time. I will never forget when I first met Marion. She was such a loving and kind hearted woman. She could easily bring a smile to anyone's face that she met. Getting to share a part in her lives and all of your lives has truly been a blessing and I will always be thankful. Heaven truly did get another angel. Rip till we meet again.

I cannot express the sadness I feel for the entire family at this time. Brenda, Debbie, Donny, Mom (Pat), Uncle Bruce, Uncle Ed, all of Aunt Lucille's grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends, my heart and prayers go out to each and every one of us. Lucille and I worked together a long time ago. My daughter will be 32 this year and I was pregnant with her then when I met Lucille and her family. I always cherished her as a friend. I pray the family will find some peace from their loss. She was a good woman and I am sure she was a fantastic mom. RIP

You were always sweet and polite and you were always that kind of person that would talk to everyone unlike me I'm shy and won't talk to some one I don't know that we'll.
