Marie J. King, age 95, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, DE. She was born on September 12, 1920, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Frank Maxa and late Marie Noha Lombardi.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Clatchey, of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Christina Philistine, and her husband, John, of Rising Sun, MD, and Jason S. Clatchey, and his fiancée, Kathy Whitby, of Edgewater, Florida; great grandchildren, Austin and Connor Philistine and Kathy’s son, Tyler Whitby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Vincent J. “Buzz” King.
Services will be held at 11AM on Friday, April 1, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow at Crownsville Veteran’s Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
