Marian Ann Shick, age 83, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Abbey Manor in Elkton, MD. She was born on February 22, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ, to the late John and Regina (Green) Reuter.

She is survived by her sons, Charles W. Shick, Jr., and his wife, Kathy Boyer-Shick of Elkridge, MD, and Thomas Shick and wife, Sarah, of West Orange, NJ; daughter, Judith Caffey and husband, Eugene, of Port Deposit, MD; four grandchildren, Regina Cheesman and husband, Scott, Sarah Caffey, Charles W. Shick III, and William Shick; and a great grandson, Lochlin.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Shick, Sr., and her sister Regina Briody.

Marian enjoyed family vacations at Fayson Lakes, NJ and Deep Creek Lake, MD. After working at the NY Telephone Company and for Drs. Furman and Resnick she retired after a long career at the unemployment office.

She was a long time member at Immaculate Conception Church and member and past President of the Sodality. Marian also served on the Planning Committee for many of the early Christmas Bazaars. In her spare time she was a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother for her children and active with the Meadowview Homemakers Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 455 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit one hour prior in the chapel beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Cherry Hill, MD.
