Maria Louise Meadows, age 59, of Ocala, FL died Sunday, September 11, 2016. She was born on March 13, 1957 in Wilmington, DE to the late Lonnie Ray Meadows and Nellie Lee (Moye) Meadows.
Maria retired from General Motors of Wilmington, DE in 2007 from her career as an assembly line worker. She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Elkton, MD and attended First Baptist Church of Ocala, FL. Maria was an avid reader, who also loved watching movies and traveling to visit her beloved family.
Maria is survived by her three brothers: Ernest Meadows of Ocala, FL; Tom Meadows Sr., of Newark, DE, and Harold Meadows of Ocala, FL; five sisters: Donna Yedinak of Elkton, MD; Mary Clark of Hanford, CA; Debbie Giffing of Mt. Dora, FL; Judy Rohl of Soldotna, AK; and Cindy Holle of Elkton, MD; as well as her thirteen nieces and nine nephews.
In addition to her parents Maria is preceded in death by her brother, Billie Ray Meadows and her sister, Rosalie Meadows.
A celebration of Maria’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newark Baptist Church, 6011 Telegraph Rd, Elkton, MD, 21921. Friends and family may begin visiting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Gilpin Manor Memorial Park Cemetery, Appleton Rd, Elkton, MD. Donations can be made payable to the “American Diabetes Association” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 East Main St, Elkton, MD 21921.
