Marguerite D. Podolak (Marge), 81, of Elkton, MD, passed away September 29 2013 following a brief illness.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ, Marge was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Copare. She was a 1950 graduate of Bridgeton High School and was a faithful attendee at the class reunions. She was a dedicated and a long time volunteer at Gilpin Manor Elementary School and was honored with the “Maryland You Are Beautiful” award in 1992, representing Cecil County for her volunteerism. The family is grateful for the care Marge received at Union Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital at St. Francis.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul Podolak; a son, Stephen Podolak of Wilmington; a daughter, Christina Podolak of Elkton; a brother Anthony Copare and a sister in law Barbara Copare. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Services and burial will be private with a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contribution checks may be made payable to Bayside Community Network and mailed to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
