Margaret Penland

Margaret Ann Penland, 82, of Elkton, MD passed away Friday, September 16, 2016.

Born January 17, 1934 in West Virginia, Margaret was the daughter of the late William Fabinski and the late Thelma (Caldwell) Stevens. Margaret was a long time member of the Maranatha Baptist Church of Elkton, MD. She was an avid and talented gardener who could grow anything. She loved plants and spent all of her time outside. When she wasn’t using her green thumb she was spending time with her wonderful family and beloved dog, Joey.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Clifford Penland; six children, Patricia “Susie” Adkins and her husband, Steve, Mildred Ward and her husband, Dar, Gary Penland and his wife, Lynn, Randy Penland and his wife, Linda, Danny Penland and his wife, Samantha, Bobby Penland and his wife, Michelle; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Debra Handling and her husband, William; four half-siblings, Kim Bailey, David Fabinski, Mark Fabinski, and Timmy Fabinski; and two nieces.

Services for Margaret will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “A Buddy for Life” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921
