Margaret M. Grimshaw, 89, of Newark, DE passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Born September 1, 1925 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Margaret was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Williams) Hamilton. Margaret (known as Peggy to her friends) was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Newark, and was an avid bridge player for many years.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Robert T. Grimshaw, Jr. and his wife, Lin of Tega Cay, SC and Glenn Grimshaw, Sr. and his wife, Jeanne of Clinton, NJ; four grandsons, Chad P. Grimshaw and his wife, Kelly, Glenn Grimshaw, Jr. and his wife, Katherine, Ryan Grimshaw and his wife, Amanda, and Sean Grimshaw; and six great grandchildren, Joshua, Kaylin, Mikayla, Alani, Lexi, and Benjamin. Including her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert T. Grimshaw, Sr.
A service will be held in Margaret’s honor at 11:30am Monday, March 2, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 292 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at 1pm at Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to the First Presbyterian Church of Newark and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
