Mahendrakumar Shanabhai Patel, age 76, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026. He was born in Tulsipura, India on September 20, 1949 to the late Shanabhai Patel and Ujmaben Patel.

Mahendrakumar cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved. One of his greatest joys was traveling to India to reunite with family, creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds that meant so much to him. His warmth, kindness, and caring nature touched everyone who knew him.

He took great pride in his appearance and was always well dressed, often enjoying the simple pleasure of wearing new clothes. He also loved watching movies, sharing good meals with family and friends, and savoring life’s everyday comforts. He had a special fondness for food, especially his daily apple, fresh fruits, and, of course, his favorite sweets.

Mahendrakumar will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering devotion to his family, and the happiness he found in life’s simple pleasures. His love, generosity, and presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mahendrakumar is survived by his wife, Kalavatiben Patel; daughter, Pallavi Patel (Vipul); grandchildren: Ayush Patel and Divit Patel; siblings: Pravin Patel (Charu), Niranjan Patel (Sandhya), and Jayshree Patel (Harish); and nieces: Niketa Patel, Madhvi Patel, Madhuri Patel, Ketki Bansal, and Zankhana Patel.

A celebration of Mahendrakumar’s life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 5:00PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
