Lynne Mary Seydell (87) of Lewes, DE, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was born on February 29, 1936, in Nutley, NJ, to the late Ernest and Mary (nee Davidson) Weber. Lynne was the loving mother of three sons and devoted wife of the late James A. Seydell, sharing 52 years of love and companionship. She lovingly and sacrificially cared for Jim in the final years of his illness.

Lynne dedicated her professional life to serving others as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Utah, and finally settled in Delaware where she worked at various medical facilities in the fields of psychiatry, maternity, pediatric and geriatric nursing. Lynne retired from the University of Delaware’s Health Center where she spent almost twenty years. Her compassion, care and commitment made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals. Her family remained her priority her entire life.

Lynne is survived by her three sons: Jay Seydell, and his wife Leslie, Gary Seydell, and Greg Seydell and his partner Alicia Gonzalez. She is also survived by her three cherished grandchildren: Michael Seydell, Walker Seydell, along with his fiancé, Harrison Curley, Elizabeth Seydell and her beloved niece, Connie Seydell. In addition to her family, Lynne leaves behind her beloved dog, Libby, who provided her with constant love and companionship.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, located at 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, situated at 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE. Following the Mass, Lynne will be laid to rest in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital St Jude Donation in Lynne’s Memory.
