Lynda Marie Meaney, age 48 of Rockville, MD passed away on March 31, 2021. She was born on June 26, 1972 in Bethesda, MD to the late Donald Cornelius Meaney and Lorraine (Leith) Meaney.

Lynda was a loving friend and generous in heart and spirit. She loved children and spent many years working in the child-care field. Lynda made many friends during her time at the Cornerstone Montgomery Program. She was loved deeply by her friends and family and will be greatly missed.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Lynda is survived by her sister, Deborah Banker.

A private memorial ceremony was held with family, oceanside in Ocean City, MD, in loving memory of Lynda.

She was the best woman I ever met. I don’t know what I could have done without her. Lynda also worked at Giant Food Store as a cashier. A news woman was always getting into her line. She loved to tell me stories about animals. My surviving friend told me, “Hi. My name is Lynda and I love animals.” Lynda told me that she wanted to be cremated so that she wouldn’t take the animal living spaces away. I decided to do the same. Thank you Lynda for being a great friend. You’re in heaven looking down on everyone you met.
