Lydia Pearl Founds, 94, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away July 16, 2014 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center.
Born in Lombard, MD on December 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Anna Anderson Gibson. She graduated from Calvert Agricultural high School in 1937 and worked at Calvert Manor from 1966-1979. She was a member of Rosebank United Methodist Church and the Woodlawn Homemakers Club. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and needlework.
Surviving are her daughter Jill Founds of Chesapeake City, MD; granddaughter Sherry Reynolds Perez; and great grandchildren Justin, Joshua, Andrew and Ashley. She was preceded in death by her husband George Wesley Founds, her daughter Virginia Jones and her grandson Daniel Reynolds.
A graveside service will be held at Calvert Friends Cemetery on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Manor Nursing Scholarship Fund c/o R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911.
