How did it happen, the day we met? Pretty sure as my eyes were focusing she already had me in the air making those granny noises and hugging me. I know I liked having her to myself getting all her attention because she was just the best and she always made me feel it. There she was for every big and bad thing in my life ready to root me on or tell me about myself. This wonderful funny loving woman who I know as my grandmother. Don't care just know she loved me like nobody else. If you were Lottie Mae Boyd Simpers Clay's relative you just knew it, she loved better than anyone on the planet. Granny could be everything to you, friend is kind of what I remember how she care for you had your back and never let you down. See I was the throwaway grandchild whose parent wasn't there, I lived outside the family. Granny was my only connection to everyone. Hell without her I might not have even been here. She really did give me life, as he gave me to two parents who really loved me and she kept watch all through my life she gave me. Granny loved my daughter and her babies as she always called every grandchild, bring granny that baby and go sit she had this. The woman as long as I knew her couldn't see her hand in front of her face but she could get ir done. She was wild fun and amazing a true woman in every sense of the word. I will be lost without her wit, I will miss her tenderness and most of all will never forget the way you showed me how to love. I will miss you so much granny love me

Dear Family and Friends, I will miss this Precious Lady!! I loved her dearly!! The first thing I thought of, when I heard she had passed, was, "Aunt Lottie can see now!!" She never let her blindness keep her joy away!!! Our deepest sympathy and love to all of you!! Mary and Ben, and Mom, Frances Rupert.

After my Nana Rose died, my Pop Pop was very lonely. He married Lottie and his smile returned. Lottie always had a laugh and an M&M jar ready for a visit! That jar and those laughs continued to appear to my own children whenever I returned to visit. My Son, who is now 36, still recalls those wonderful visits as a child, to a Lady who filled our hearts with warmth and love. The jar at my house has always been filled with M&M's in Lottie's honor for my children & grandchildren. It is a tradition I am sure they will pass on for their households. Thank you Lottie. I love you.

Miss Lottie was a resident of Elkton Care and Rehab. She was my mother's roommate for a period of time. She was the sweetest woman and I enjoyed hearing her many life stories. One of my most touching memories is when she knew I had read the book "Heaven is for Real". She asked me if I finished the book and I said yes. She asked me to sit on her bed and she said "Tell me all about Heaven". I told her that Heaven was a beautiful place with many colors. Everyone has wings and can "fly". Miss Lottie was mostly blind and one of the greatest things I could tell her about heaven was than no one wears glasses. I said "Miss Lottie, you will be able to see in heaven". She just got a huge smile on her face. I'm sure that Miss Lottie is up in heaven right now with a nice big pair of wings and is seeing for the first time in a very long time. I hope she is able to see her 6 children that have preceded her in death. I'm sure they have been waiting patiently in heaven for her to join them. She was truly a special woman whom I will never forget.
