Lonnie Jensen, age 69, of Rising Sun, MD passed away suddenly due to natural causes on the morning of May 4th, 2017 in his home/workshop. He was born on December 1, 1947 in Harlen, Iowa to the late Leona Jensen (Larson) and the late Oliver Jensen.
Lonnie opened Jensen’s Furniture Workroom in Rising Sun, MD in 1993 to provide the community with furniture upholstery services. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed baking and cooking with his wife, playing with his dogs and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Karen Jensen (Rothenberger), son, Shawn Jensen and wife Shannon, step daughters: Brenda Jones and husband, Steve, Crystal Wheatley and husband, Barry, four grand children, two great grand children and three sisters. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Services for Lonnie will be held privately.
