Lois Ann Trumbore, age 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, November, 4, 2011 after a lengthy illness with her husband by her side. She and her husband, Merr, had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 4, 2011.
Born in Bethlehem, PA on July 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Helen Nagy. After graduating from Liberty High School in 1957, she attended Bethlehem Business College and was employed in 1957 by Bethlehem Steel Co. in the Company’s prestigious escort division until relocating to Maryland with her husband in 1962.
Lois was an avid reader; loved gourmet cooking and baking for both family and friends. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, playing bridge, attending Broadway Musicals and traveling. She looked forward to spending time at their summer home in the Poconos. She was also an avid fan of Indianapolis Car racing. Lois also served as President of Lomer, Inc. until the corporation was dissolved in 1990.
She is survived by her husband Merr, one Uncle William Nagy of Bethlehem, PA, two cousins and three nephews.
Service will be held at 6PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at R.T. Foard F.H., 111 S. Queen St., rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be private.
