Linda Marie Ham, age 78, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Born on September 25, 1946, in Radford, VA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Garfield Morgan and Marie Evans (Croy) Morgan.
Linda was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother who touched the lives of everyone she met. She spent over 20 years working as a Customer Service Representative at Acme Supermarket in Elkton, MD, where her warm smile and kind nature left a lasting impression on both coworkers and customers alike. Linda was known for her compassion, her attention to detail, and her dedication to the community she served.
An avid reader, Linda especially loved diving into the latest issue of People magazine. She also had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the timeless songs of Elvis Presley, which she enjoyed throughout her life. Linda had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cats, Archie and Sugar Baby, who were her constant companions.
Linda will be remembered not only for her kind heart but also for her loyalty to family and friends. She was a source of comfort and support to those around her, always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand.
She is survived by her two children, Tamara Nixon and Gary Miller; her sister, Freda Stroupe; her brother, Frank Morgan; and three cherished grandchildren, Eric Burton, Dylan Burcham, and Fred Ledford. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Billy Morgan, with whom she shared many fond memories.
A celebration of Linda’s life will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects starting at 11:00 AM.
Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
