


Linda Jean McNair, age 65, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. She was born October 24, 1949 in Ligonier, PA to the late Lawrence and Esther Brant Klingensmith.
She came to the area while attending classes at Goldey Beacom College. She spent most of her life as a home maker taking care of her children. She then worked with her husband, Guy, in his HVAC business until their retirement. Linda was an accomplished seamstress and would create Santa costumes for her husband, alterations for the family, and also, custom embroidered items as well. A loving person, she loved her dogs, and especially loved being “Grammy” to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Guy McNair, her children, son, Eric Chance and wife, Becky, of Elkton, MD, son Kevin Chance and wife, Karrah, of Tarpon Springs, FL, daughter, Lori Valdez and husband, Marcos, of Tampa, FL, son Christopher McNair, and wife, Kara, of Calera, AL, and daughter, Bonnie McNair of Elkton, MD; six grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Landon, Zoey, Harper, and Lowan; two great-grandchildren, Avery, and Aurora “Jean” who was born on the same day of Linda’s passing, and a grandson, who is expected to arrive in November 2015.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM, and a memorial service to follow at 7PM on Friday, July 24, 2015 at R. T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Burial will be held privately. To send condolences online visit www.rtfoard.com
