Linda Gale Funk, age 83, of Elkton, MD passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. Born on December 4, 1942, in Cripple Creek, VA, Linda was the loving daughter of the late John Henry Hall, and the late Verna Graham (Johnson) Hall.
Linda was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in creating a warm, welcoming home for those she loved. She enjoyed spending time gardening and tending to her flowers. Linda had a talent for crocheting, crafting beautiful handmade pieces that will be cherished by her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending quiet moments working on puzzles. A passionate collector, Linda had a special fondness for depression glass, taking pride in her carefully curated collection and the history behind each piece. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, where she delighted in the excitement, and spending time with her husband.
She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kindness, her nurturing heart, and the comfort she brought to those around her.
Linda is survived by her husband, Talmage L. Funk; children: John Funk, Lisa Dvorak, Lynn Chambers (husband, John), and Lori Crowder (husband, Matthew); grandchildren: Jeanette Perez, Katelyn Braune, John Chambers, III, Sara Chambers, Elisabeth Chambers, Christopher Chambers, Emily Johnson (husband, Robert), Molly Miller (husband, Alex), and Paul Crowder (wife, Emma); six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and siblings: Evelyn Shockley, Daphne Bowers, and Mary Funk.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Dvorak, and siblings: Nadean Hoyle and David Hall.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Union Church Cemetery.
