Lewis John Liberti, age 51, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away on October 3, 2024. Born on April 9, 1973, in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the beloved son of JoAnn (Romano) Liberti and the late Armando Liberti.
Lewis graduated from Delcastle Technical High School, Class of 1992. He devoted his professional life to construction, working alongside his father at Barrier Free Construction, where he made homes and businesses more accessible. Additionally, he showcased his passion for photography by working part-time as a wedding photographer.
Proud of his Italian heritage, Lewis loved cooking, particularly Italian cuisine, and enjoyed playing billiards at St. Gabriel’s Order of the Sons of Italy. He had a deep appreciation for classic cars, especially those from the 1920s, and cherished moments spent at car shows and at the beach with his father.
Lewis will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Lewis is preceded in death by his father, Armando Liberti. He is survived by his mother, JoAnn Liberti; his brothers, Vincent Liberti and his wife, Laurie, and Armand Liberti and his wife, Lisa; as well as his cherished nephews, Brendon, Nicholas, and Joseph Liberti, and his niece, Keirsten Liberti.
A memorial service celebrating Lewis’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 12:00 PM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., located at 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE, 19711. Family and friends are invited to begin visiting at 11:00 AM.
