Lewis Carroll (Mac) McCannon, Jr., 64, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away April 28, 2014 at Harford Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
Mac was born on April 21, 1950 and was the son of the late Lewis C. McCannon, Sr. and Grace Rawlings McCannon. He attended Aberdeen High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was a gun enthusiast.
Mac is survived by four brothers, Dennis R. McCannon (Linda) of Aberdeen, John H. McCannon of Aberdeen and Dr. Charles E. McCannon (Stephanie) of Darlington and two sisters, Toni M. McCannon of Myersville, MD and Terri E. Reese(Randy) of Port Deposit, MD and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Steven McCannon.
A service honoring his life will be held Thursday May 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 with a visitation Wednesday evening from 6 -8:00 p.m. or 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Harford Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions in Mac’s memory may be made to The Charcot Marie-Tooth Association or Disabled American Veterans and mailed to the funeral home. .
