Leroy Royal

Leroy Freeman Royal, 65, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away suddenly at his home May 9, 2012.

Born in White Top, VA, on November 13, 1946, Leroy was the son of Carrie Walker Royal and the late Freeman Royal. He retired from Cytec Industries in Havre de Grace, MD. He was a member of Carsins Run Baptist Church, was a former member of the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun and served in the U.S. Army from 1966-68.

In Addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly Royal of Rising Sun, daughter Robin Balla and her husband Bryan of Nottingham, PA; two grandchildren, Zachary and Allison Balla; a brother, Jesse Royal of Aberdeen, four sisters, Retha Dolinger of North Carolina, Dot Coffin of Aberdeen, Nancy Royal of Aberdeen and Judy Lassiter of Rising Sun. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Balla and his sister Evelyn Day.

A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 10 am. Burial will be private.
