Leonard “Len” James Campbell, age 90, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was born on January 8, 1933, in Mechanicsville, PA to the late Walter Craig Campbell and Frances Nadine (Aaronson) Campbell.

Len proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an Electrician for 32 years at DuPont at Chestnut Run before deciding to retire. Len was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge Hiram 25. He loved camping and going to his cottage in North Carolina with his wife. During his free time, Len enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Len is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Campbell; three children: Terri Campbell, James Campbell, and Peggy Nichols and her husband, David; sister, Ella Keller; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Len is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Campbell.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at R.T. Foard and Jones, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where family and friends may begin visiting at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
