Lawrence Roman Shants, Jr., “LJ”, age 28 of Elkton, MD passed away the evening of December 19, 2016 while rendering aid to a disabled vehicle. He was born on October 29, 1988 in Baltimore, MD to Lawrence R. Shants, and Susan Renee (Crystal) Golden.
LJ was a member of Sons of Odin and worked as a truck driver for Complete Recycling Group. He was also a door man at Walt’s Tavern. LJ enjoyed riding motorcycles and helping his friends whenever they were in need. He was a certified first responder for road side assistance and always helped those in distress.
LJ is survived by his father, Lawrence R. Shants of Elkton, MD; mother, Susan Golden and her husband, Clark of Glen Burnie, MD; siblings: Jennifer Trumpower, Anthony Shants, Rebecca Shants, Michael Shants, Nicole Hendricks, Samantha Shants, Sabrina Lee, and Davina Golden; son, Logan Rylan Shants; and aunt, Cathy Kroskey.
A celebration of LJ’s life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM as well as Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
