























Lawrence Harrison Sanders, Sr., “Larry” age 69, of Colora, MD, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born in Baltimore, MD on September 8, 1951 to the late Paul Sanders and Dortha M. (Oldaker) Griffith.
Before becoming disabled, Larry, a Vietnam veteran, worked in the construction trade as a Drywall Finisher, and was a true craftsman taking great pride in his work. He extended his skills by building his house which he referred to as his castle.
Larry enjoyed boating and fishing on the Susquehanna River, going on motorcycle rides, and watching westerns. He also loved playing competitive Shuffleboard and pool with friends. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and kind heart and will be dearly missed.
Larry is survived by his son, Lawrence Sanders, Jr., and his wife, Toni; and three grandchildren: Eternity, Siena, and Harrison Sanders. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his two brothers: John and Dickie Sanders.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 4:00PM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends may attend the viewing beginning at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “American Cancer Society” and sent in care of the funeral home: P.O.
