Larry McDowell, age 55, of Nottingham, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Union Hospital.
Larry was born on September 27, 1957 in Havre de Grace, MD. A 1975 graduate of Oxford High School, Larry was a self employed mushroom grower for many years and a truck driver in his later years. He was an avid shuffleboard player.
He is survived by his father, Wilmer H. McDowell of Nottingham, PA; brother, Jim McDowell of Quarryville, PA and Jeff McDowell of Oxford, PA; uncle, Ralph McDowell of Nottingham, PA and aunts, Joan Blevins of Roanoke, VA and Carol Hughes of Bonita Springs, FL; two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan March McDowell.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society c/o the funeral home.
