On November 12, 1951, Larry was born in Whigham, Georgia as the third child to the late Hilton Davis and Lilla Mae Evans Davis.
In his early years Larry attended elementary school in Whigham, GA and later, Washington Consolidated School (Cario High School) in Cario Georgia.
Larry was a God-fearing Christian who enjoyed cooking, baking cakes and pies, and working on the computer. He was highly creative in crafts and loved to help anyone in need of anything. He worked at Pennsylvania Hospital as an x-ray technician for over 20 years and a certified funeral director in the state of Pennsylvania as well. In later years, he was a resident at Elkton Nursing Facility in Elkton, MD, where he was well-liked and well-taken care of. Larry spoke highly of the staff members: Clarice Bellamy, Mary Somers, Jessica Mullen, and Jackie Dailey.
Left to cherish his loving memories are James Davis (proceeded in death) wife of James Davis, Nylon Davis, Ervin (Lynda) Davis, Andrew Davis, Rudolph Davis, Sister Valerie Davis. He also shared a special friendship with Lanora Harris, Angel Olivera, Nancy Benson, and many others who crossed his path.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Elkton Cemetery, Howard Street, Elkton, MD 21921 where family and friends are welcomed to join.
