Kimberly Ann Guay
January 7, 1972 – March 20, 2026
She loved her family, she loved her dogs, and she loved all things Halloween.
However, most of all Kim Guay loved being in the moment and celebrating even the smallest event in her 54 years on this earth.
Kim died March 20, after a courageous battle with cancer. Just as in life, her last moments included her family and her dog, Pugsley, who was named after the character of the same name in one of her favorite television shows, The Addams Family.
Kim was born January 7, 1972 in Fall River, Massachusetts.
Throughout her life she was creative, selfless and known by all for her big heart. She loved music of every genre, and Halloween movies including The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the all the movies in the Freddy Kruger, Chucky and Friday the 13th franchises.
Her creativity ran the gamut from refinishing furniture, making jewelry and repurposing glass bottles.
When Kim left this earth she was met by her father, Joseph R. Guay and treasured dog, Gizzy.
Left to carry on her memory is her mother, Aline D. Guay, her brother Kevin Guay and her children; Tiffany Cordeiro of Elkton, Md., Kyle Cordeiro of Colora, Md. And Jeromy and his wife Stacey who live in Hockessin, Del. She cherished her grandchildren; Ryder and Rylie, Nathan, Dale, AmbrLyn and Kyleaux. Kim met Walt Mitzel by chance more than 10 years ago and that brought his daughter Kerstin Mlynarik and her husband Calvin Mlynarik into her life as well.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held May 2, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene, 2626 Jacob Tome Highway in Colora.
