Kenneth Paul Yoder, 75 yrs., of Elkton, MD, passed away April 9, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 14, 1938. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Anita (Scaltrito) Yoder.
Ken was an auto mechanic, owning his own business in 1963. He then joined the Philadelphia Police Department for the next 20 years, and upon retirement he moved to Cecil County, MD.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, repairing golf carts, rebuilding player pianos, listening to music and being with his family and friends. He belonged to St. John’s Lodge Masonic Temple in Philadelphia for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice of 54 years and his son Kenneth J. Yoder and wife Joann; daughter Denise M. Mattern and grandson Ryan A. Mattern; brother Roger Yoder, sister Lois Hebert, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Anita (Scaltrito) Yoder, and brother Robert.

Friends and family may call beginning at 2PM for a viewing followed by a memorial service at 3pm. All services will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921 on Saturday April 12, 2014. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made payable to the Philadelphia Police Athletic League or Seasons Hospice and mailed to the funeral home.
