Kenneth Fischer, “Ken”, age 69 of Elkton, MD passed away on August 5, 2023. He was born on September 19, 1953 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph M. Fischer, Sr. and Assunta “Jennie” (Giordano) Fischer.
Ken had a larger-than-life personality. Everything he did, he did it passionately. Ken graduated from Vailsburg High School in 1972. He was a certified Master Gardner and had a column in the Cecil Whig on gardening. His hobbies included collecting items and selling things on eBay. He also loved to go crabbing. Many will find humor in remembering him wearing his silly crabbing outfit.
Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sara Fischer; siblings: Joseph M. Fischer, Jr. (Elinor), Elizabeth “Betty” Sanders, and Robert Fischer (Maureen); and aunt, Della Sartin.
Services for Ken will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions payable to the “Chesapeake Bay Foundation” and send in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
