Kendall “Kenny” Thomas Wesley, age 81 of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 3, 2025. He was born in Wilmington, DE on September 14, 1943, to the late John and Barbara “Betty” Elizabeth (nee Prigg) Wesley Jr.
Kenny grew up in and worked for the family business “Wesley’s Restaurant” and was a fixture there for 50 years. He had a fascination with tools and was very handy. He was often seen tinkering around with various machines / projects in the restaurant. Kenny also loved to go dancing at various establishments around the county and was somewhat of a flirt. He took Polaroids of many lady friends over the years that filled the office walls.
He was a devoted lifetime member of the Elkton Moose Lodge #851, and fan of the Eagles football team. He loved food of all kinds, particularly blue claw crabs and shrimp. Kenny looked forward to his weekly dinner outings with his brother Jeff.
He had a long-term relationship with Karen Corcoran and was close to her children and their families. More recently he was a resident at Newark Manor and a friend to both staff and residents, known for his ornery upbeat nature.
Kenny is survived by his brother Jeffrey “Jeff” (Deb) Wesley; nephew Richard “Richie” Wesley; nieces Jennifer Wesley and Jennifer Bralley; great nieces Devon (nee Wesley) (JJ) Krystopa, Paige Wesley, Rylea Lanzino, Shyanna Gsel and Matisyn Gsel; great nephew Hunter Lanzino; and great great nephew Forrest Krystopa.
In addition to his parents Kenny is preceded in death by his brothers John Earl Wesley, John “Johnie” Wesley III, and Ronnie Douglas Wesley; nephew John “Jackie” Wesley IV.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at a later date.
