Kay S. Jamison, 79, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Born January 12, 1937 in Lemoyne, PA. Kay was the daughter of the late Robert W. Skillington and the late Leona (Renniger) Skillington.
Kay was a devoted member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was known for her handmade teddy bears.
Kay is survived by her loving husband of nearly 58 years, Francis “Pudd” Jamison; sons, Kenneth Jamison and his partner, James Gatehouse, Don Jamison and his wife, Tina, and Jay Jamison; five granddaughters, Kirsten Palumbo and her husband, Joe, Sammi Jamison, Katie McLaughlin, Hailey and Lauren Jamison; great granddaughter, Krisalyn Palumbo; sister, Lois Hocking; and numerous beloved extended family.
A service will be held in Kay’s honor at 11AM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE 19711, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Ebenezer United Methodist Church and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
