Kathleen Dearworth, 48, of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly at her second home in Elkton, MD Friday, November 15, 2013.
Born December 29, 1964 in Cincinnati, OH, Kathleen was the daughter of Dr. James Robert and Ann (Altemeier) Dearworth. Kathleen graduated from Tatnall High School, class of 1982 and continued on to Smith College in North Hampton, MA where she graduated in 1986. Kathleen was an excellent artist winning many awards as a collager and has had many of her collages hung around the world. Kathleen was a member of the Girl Scouts, Troop 877 out of Elkton, MD as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Children of the American Revolution. She worked with her brother John at Dearworth’s Frames Works in Wilmington Delaware for many years. Kathleen worked at 93rd Street Medical Center in Ocean City, MD for several years.
Including her parents, Kathleen is survived by her sister, Marjorie Dearworth Keeley and her husband, Thomas of Peru, MA; brothers, James R. Dearworth, Jr. and his wife, Marcia of Nazereth, PA and John William Dearworth and his wife, Chandler of Wilmington, DE; and her nieces, Lily and Holly Dearworth.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at 3pm Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at R.T. Foard & Jones Inc., 122 West Main St, Newark, DE 19711 where family and friends may visit beginning at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Paramedics Morale Fund Ocean City, MD and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Inc., 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
