Karen had such a gentle, loving spirit and a genuine heart of compassion. We were best friends as children, and my life was much richer for having known her. My deepest condolences to the family as you grieve her passing. Godspeed, dear Karen, thank you for your example and the difference you've made.

Kari, Niki and Wesley,
Karen will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Her commitment and dedication to giving time and attention to her patients will never be forgotten. She had a sincere appreciation for people regardless of how long she knew them. Karen was a genuine person that gave not because she had to, but because she wanted to. She was such a good person, with an abundance of love and generosity as well as someone I could always count on. I enjoyed our talks about her daughters and grandchildren, what she did on her days off. Just last Thursday evening she stopped by my office with a stick of butter in her hand. She told me the story of how Dr. Taylor taught her how to make butter and peanut butter sandwiches. We laughed about how that tradition had survived so many years. I am going to miss her so much but know she will be looking down on us every single day. Karen, was a very special person and you all have every right to be proud of her.

Hold the door many of us will meet again some day. Godspeed and may he forever look after your family. You will always be a Friend and we miss you already.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend. Heaven definitely gained an angel when Karen walked thru the golden gates on Monday. I have had the honor to work with her for the past 7 years and can honestly say she was one of a kind. Karen had such a sincere compassion for those in need and always helped ease the worries of those around her. Monday morning I thought of her knowing I would see her later in the day when I got to work. Sadly, before I left my home I received news of her passing. Her spirit will live forever in all our hearts and I am so grateful I knew her. God's Peace to all of you
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Karen was truly one of a kind. She made an effort to love each and everyone she met. I have many happy memories of our conversations, interactions. She always tried to help me even when I was difficult. What I admired most was her uniqueness, her empathy, her humor. . She marched to her own drummer. And that hat. Fantastic. She is missed. My condolences to her friends family.

Karen hired me into Father Martin's Ashley a little over 10 years ago. Although I changed departments soon thereafter, we remained tight. I could ALWAYS count on Karen in a crisis situation, no matter what. I can't recall how many times we consulted each other about impending storms or other situations...she truly knew how to communicate, something lost on a lot of people nowadays. Peace and Love to all of Karen's family, I've heard stories...all good.

I want Karen's daughters to know what a sweet and kind soul their mother had, how highly respected she was and what an impact she has made in thousands of people. She was the first person I met when I was admitted to Ashkey in September 2005 and years later became my supervisor while I was employed there as a PSA. I was devastated to hear about her passing and only have wonderful memories of my time as her colleague and friend. We shared stories about life- talked about her live for her family and had many laughs. She will be deeply missed-
Fondly and with much love-
