June Carrol Reid, age 91, of Elkton, MD passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. She was born in Rensselaer, NY on July 15, 1932 to the late Charles Albert Bastow and Margaret Elizabeth (Mispel) Bastow.

June enjoyed going to family gatherings. She loved crabbing while growing up in Rock Hall, MD. In her later years, she loved going to the Delaware Park and could always be found playing on the slot machines. She played all different types of games and loved scratch offs. June did many crafts and had a talent with crocheting, which she loved spending time with her daughters showing them how to crochet. June will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

June is survived by her five children: Wanda Slack and her husband, Bud of Marriottsville, MD, Ellen Ewing and her husband, Bud of Elkton, MD, Debbie Gulick and her husband, Larry of Earlville, MD, Pam Johnson and her husband, Ray of Chesapeake City, MD, and Toni Craig and her husband, Fred of Chesapeake City, MD; brother-in-law, Ernest George of Queenstown, MD; sister-in-law, Kaoru Bastow of Pittsfield, MA; nine grandchildren: Billy Pipes, Stacey Carneal, Jeff Slack, Lauren Mayan, Jon Simpson, Amy Johnson, Ray Johnson, Jr., Jessica Rogers, and Julia Battaglia; fourteen great grandchildren: Andrew Hunton, Brandon Slack, Alissa Slack, Evan Carneal, Kate Carneal, Riley Simpson, Liley Horn, Molly Mayan, Everett Simpson, Travis Johnson, Grady Johnson, Micaela Rogers, Johnny Rogers and Zane Rogers; and one great great grandchild: Coraline Simpson.

In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas William Reid

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at R.T. Funeral Home, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. To send online condolences please visit, www.rtfoard.com.
