I was the new kid at Newark High School when BJ walked into the office and announced " I am your new best friend" and she was. She made my transition from Philly to Newark bearable. We stayed in touch over the years. I called her my "forever friend". My heart felt sympathies to her family.

When I say "I could write a book!" I could. The memories I have of our adventures where and are many. In our teens we where like sisters...always finding another dance to check out. We danced our way through good times and bad. BJ would stop by from time to time and we would share special memories with my late husband John. I have now lost the two best friends I ever had. BJ I will always love and cherish you. Micki

I worked with BJ in the same department at MNAT for many years and we developed a very special friendship. She was very knowledgeable about many subjects and my husband and I always enjoyed our times together with her outside of the office. We felt it was a privilege knowing BJ and thanked God for bringing her into our lives. Our sympathy to the family.

My beautiful sister. Its true that God always takes the best 1st. I miss you so much.... I can't imagine how life will be without you in it. Without being able to talk or text you. Without your advice. Without you to make me laugh..... my sister, my best friend... I will always have your love and memories. Just doesn't seem enough right now.... I've got one of your favorite pillows and will hug it every night pretending it is you.... until we meet again.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Aunt Bj was always full of life and laughter. Any time I knew she would be visiting us, I always knew it would be fun! May she rest in peace with Jesus and may we all hold many fond memories of her positive spirit. She loved her children and would have done anything in the world for them along with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by so many. prayers are with your family Janine

BJ used to visit me on our farm across the line in Maryland. We would crawl under the corn bin to gather eggs and try to catch tadpoles in the creek. Together we skinned our knees, rode ponies bareback, and giggle at nearly anything that would amuse us. What a lovely woman she became - one whose absence will leave a void. Susan Shields

BJ was a wonderful friend and co-worker. I worked with BJ at Morris, Nichols and remained friends when she left Morris, Nichols. She had such a bubbling personality and was always laughing and joking around. BJ will be truly missed and I will always cherish our friendship.

I'll always remember BJ as the friend I made in first grade who made me less shy through her antics and all the memories we shared having the same birthday and parties. Her Mom saved my life when I was drowning in the creek on our birthday as I wasn't a strong swimmer at that point. I visited BJ in FL when she lived there but she never made it to my place once I lived there. We had lots of laughs through the years as we worked on the reunions, went to Bakers for chicken and dumplings or sat around eating crabs! I have many memories from our high school days as well. Luv, Pegi

B.J. was my very first friend when we moved from the city to Brookside Park in the late 50's. I have vivid memories of our time spent at her parent's home on Rte. 273. We had many good times together. Rest in peace my friend!
Renee Howard left a message on June 18, 2013:
The news of BJ's passing is devasting to me. We worked together at Morris Nichols and she showed me the ropes as I joined her department at the firm. She was a wonderful woman, friend and co-worker. We just had dinner this past January and she was her usual charming, funny and warm self. I will miss her dearly and will miss her calling me at work and saying "Hey you being a good girl? I'm hungry. When are we having dinner." I'm so blessed to have known her and be her friend. She was always there to listen and give advice. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that happy memories of this wonderful mother, sister and grandmother will ease your grief. Love to you all and our dear BJ Renee
