Judy Marie Moulton Collins, 62, if Cana, VA passed away at Forsyth Medical Center Wednesday, May 28, 2014

She was born in Cecil Co., MD on March 4, 1952 to the late Lewis Moulton and Mary Johnson Moulton Horton. Mrs. Collins was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and worked in the Restaurant Business for as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her husband, Tomas J. Collins of the home; her step parents, Harry and Judith Horton of Cana, VA; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Daniel and Billie Jo VanDyke of Perryville, MD, Eric and Laura VanDyke of Rising Sun, MD and Chad VanDyke of Port Deposit, MD; six grandchildren; a step daughter, Bonnie Lee Fader and husband, Mike of PA; two step sons, William J. Collins and wife, Nina of Cana, NC and Christopher J. Collins and Roxanne of Oxford, PA; two step sisters, Wanda Redman and husband, Edward of Calabash, NC and Marion Jennings and husband, Gilbert of Oxford, PA; and one step brother, Allan Horton and wife, Lynn of Mt. Airy.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Conowingo Baptist Cemetery, Conowingo, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Woodland Baptist Church, 2031 Woodland Dr., Mt. Airy, NC 27030. To send condolences please visit www.moodyfuneralservices.com.

I first met Judy in 1962 at the Bainbridge Elementary School, class of Mrs. O'Neil. Then she moved to North Hills, Rising Sun, where I lived. We graduated Rising Sun High together 1969-70. Judy and I were always quite close, sharing life experiences with each other & I tried consoling her when her father died on the job. Then as I went off to serve in overseas govt service, we lost touch. Sorry to hear about her passing. My health is bad due to lung scarring in Vietnam, 1972, when I was CIA-ONI. When on to earn doctorates thru govt courses.

It has been a long, lonely year without my BFF. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of her, love her and miss her.

Sorry for the lost to the family. I remember many school bus rides and fun in school during our activity periods. Judy was always to friendly and kind.

We will meet again at the home coming in the sky!

Judy its hard to believe that your really gone. But I know your not suffering anymore. And your race has been run. And your in the presence of Jesus now. Know more pain, know more sorrow. And what a family reunion you must of had and are still having I am for such. We miss you and we always will but we know your in a place that our human mind cannot even imagine. What it must be like, and to be with your Mom and Dad, Mommom and granddaddy, and all your loved ones that have made this journey. Will see you soon when Christ calls for us to come home. And we will be together for all eternity. You can give me a tour of that great city. Be waiting for me at the gate because I am coming to one glorious day!

Lauren, Your Grandmother looks like a lovely soul. You were fortunate to have had her and her influences in your life. In the days and times ahead you may wish to treat yourself to this mini documentary, done by Oprah Winfrey, re: Maya Angelou. Her strength, spirit, wisdom and heart were astounding. Her first love was writing and there are many wonderful uplifting books. thinking of you, Deborah B.

You will be missed Judy. I know Kay is really hurting with your passing. Rest in peace with your Heavenly Father.

Jack, Thank you for all the joy and loving care you gave Judy, and for the good memories we made when I visited you and Judy in Cana. I will always cherish her and my memories of her. Kay

When I came back to md I spent some wonderful times with judy and so many times this included mary and we would go to fireworks and get so tickled over the silliest things..like dropping our only quarters at the toll booth at hatem bridge, that we dug out of marys car,as we had spent all our money forgetting we needed toll money to get home, only to drop the quarters and all three of us crawling under and around the car with horns blowing and us laughing so hard we couldn't breathe and crying and ribs hurting. When we would call to set up a date to go somewhere we would call one another to joke and say bring extra quarters...one was sent with mary....and judy you will have yours for that final wonderful trip you are on now...you will be back with your mom and dad that loved you so much as we all did...
