Judith A. Purvis (77) of Landenberg, PA, passed away on December 18, 2022. Born on October 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James and June (nee, Cleare) Schoenly and the devoted wife of the late James P. Purvis, Jr.
Judy worked as a Senior Budget Analyst for the US Food & Drug Administration until retiring in 1998. Judy enjoyed travel both at home and abroad with her husband. She enjoyed a good glass of wine, attending parties, shopping (especially for shoes) and sharing crabs and a cold beer with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judy is survived by her son, J. Michael Purvis and his wife Stacey of Newark, DE; grandson, Skyler Purvis and his wife Jessica, great-granddaughter, Lily and niece, Sheila Johnson.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM at R. T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home – 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00 AM. A reception will follow the service.
