Joyce E. Miller, 77, of Newark, DE, passed away October 12, 2012 at Seasons Hospice, Christiana Care.
Born in War, WV on November 2, 1934, Joyce was the daughter of the late Alexander and Lorene Coleman Hampton. She was homemaker and most recently was employed in retail at Strawbridge and Clothier.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel (Dan) Miller, Sr.; a son, Jim Miller and his wife Sandi of Millsboro, DE; a daughter Kelly Boyland and her husband Chris of Poolesville, MD; four grandchildren, Jim Miller, Jr., and Jackie, Stephanie and Julie Boyland; three brothers from Florida, Jerry, Ronald and Larry Hampton and a sister, Tish Larison and her husband Steve, also of Florida. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel Miller, Jr.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 12 noon on Thursday October 18, 2012 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
