





















Joyce Bernadine Little, 82, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away suddenly after a short illness on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
Born July 9, 1933 in Illinois, Joyce was the daughter of the late Sherman Edward and Edna Fern (Cowan) Gilbert. Joyce worked at the Perry Point VA Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 1995 as a registered nurse. She was a lifelong member of Hopewell United Methodist Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of her church family. She enjoyed crocheting, reading her nook, playing solitaire, and listening to country and gospel music. She also treasured her doll collection but what Joyce cherished most of all was her time spent with her loving family and wonderful friends, especially her time with Shirley Gurkovic and her phone conversations with Betty Sullins.
Joyce is survived by her five children, Melvin Little and his wife, Dotsy, Melissa Neyman and her husband, Joseph, James Little and his wife, Lisa, Melinda Delp and her husband, Chris, and LuAnn Williams and her husband, Jeffery; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Sanford Little; son, Larry Little; grandson, Kevin Little; and her two brothers, Robert and Richard Gilbert.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, February 1, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. A service will be held at 11am at the funeral home where family and friends may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Port Deposit, MD.
