




Joseph T. Daemer, 74, of North East, MD, passed away peacefully at his home November 11, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Cape May, NJ on September 25, 1939, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Eva Leeds Daemer. He was a truck driver and hauled cars for Anchor Motor Freight for 38 years. He loved to fish and ride motorcycles and was also a talented skeet shooter. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, even to the end, and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Poe Daemer; four sons, Tom Daemer and his wife Sharon of Port Deposit, Gary Daemer and his wife Shirlann of Hays NC, Joey Daemer and his companion Lesa of North East and Sam Daemer and his wife Ann of Landenberg, PA: four daughters, Angie Lloyd of Fair Hill, Cricket Vanover of Newark, DE, Diane Daemer of Baltimore, MD and Janie Grove and her husband Mark of Conowingo, MD; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Dee Diggins of Jacksonville, FL and his brother Freddy Daemer of Wilmington, DE. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Van Kirk.
A service honoring his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday November 17, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 with a visitation at the funeral home beginning at 2 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contribution checks may be made payable to Amedysis Hospice and mailed to the funeral home.
