Joe and I spent many hours together bass fishing at the lake, discussing everything from world affairs to dirty jokes to which lure to use . I always felt obliged to ask him how he was doing just so he could answer "Everyday is a holiday",with a big smile. And somehow, those days spent together fishing were "holidays" and hopefully Joe enjoyed them as much as I did. Anyways, rest in peace,Joe. You will be missed.

The world has lost a great person!! There are so many great memories that my family had with Joe. He was such a great man. There were many, many campfire conversations we have had over the years. Joe, you will be truly missed. Your family is in my prayers. As Joe would say "Everyday is a holiday".

Joe was my poppop. He was like a second father to me, as I spent so much time with him and Nana as a child. He taught me values, respect, and love. My mom always told me when I was born, I was jaundiced and had to lay in the incubator for several hours. She told me poppop never left my side. I was fortunate to have known this man for my 23 years. It was my dream to dance with him at my wedding...and I got that wish granted when we had a double wedding. He remarried Nana and I married my husband. His son, my uncle, Tommy married us and I was so proud and happy. He was radiant that day...there are a thousand small memories that I will cherish, a hundred photos to treasure. I will always hear him call me "tweet tweet", and will remember the man who loved us all. My favorite quote; "life is not measured by the number of breathes we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away." Before he passed, he told me he would always be with us in spirit. I love you poppop. I hope you're fishing with Jesus now.
