My heartfelt condolences to all of the Hotra family on Joe’s passing. I served with him side by side on the USS Midway. He was not only an excellent tech, but a good friend. We had SO MANY laughs together and crazy experiences in the ports we stopped in onboard the Midway. The memories I’m most left with is the simple fact that Joe was such a good person. “Salt of the Earth” type that was easy to make friends with and work with. I feel fortunate that we did get a couple chances to get together in the Daytona area post Navy when I was on vacation. We spent hours laughing at the crazy stories we would both re-hash!…I’m going to miss Joe….?
