Joseph Howard Durham of Rising Sun, MD, passed away at Northwest Hospital, Randallstown, MD on July 10, 2012 at the age of 86. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 3, 1926.
Mr. Durham served in the U.S. Navy as a gunner from 1942-1946. He worked at Aberdeen Proving Grounds for 33 years. After retiring from APG, he worked for several years at Goodie’s and then drove a school bus for Jim Marshall. Mr. Durham enjoyed fishing, crabbing, camping, wood work and spending time with his family.
He is survived by daughters Karen Hickey and Pam Willis, her husband Charles Willis, granddaughter Sarah Willis and grandson Tyler Willis, all of Rising Sun. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl Elizabeth (Riley) Durham, parents Howard and Katherine Durham and brother Paul Durham.
At his request, services will be private.
