Joseph “Joe” George Cassidy, IV, age 45, of Oxford, PA formerly of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Joe was a hard worker who was good with his hands, he had a talent for cutting and installing marble and granite. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan, who was always sure to watch the games. Joe was proud of his Irish heritage and also, proud to be an American. He was always proud of all of his children’s talents and accomplishments. Joe loved practicing lacrosse and tossing a ball with Shane and Dillon. He loved to watch his boys play sports and supporting his Megan in dance. He took great joy in spending time with his family, being outdoors riding dirt bikes, fishing, and eating crabs. Joe liked listening to heavy metal music. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and having a beer with good friends. Joe was a good godfather to his niece, Alana.
Joe is survived by his wife, Melissa (nee Westfall) and children whom he loved dearly, Shane, Megan and Dillon; his parents, Joseph and Arlene Cassidy; niece Alana; and many aunts, uncles and cousins; and dear son-in-law of Margaret Westfall. He was predeceased by his sister, Melissa Cassidy.
On Saturday, October 15, 2022 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD, family and friends are welcomed to begin visiting at 11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private. https://www.gofundme.com/f/n2sdd7-the-cassidy-family
