Joseph Dennis Ardes

Joseph Dennis Ardes of Elkton, MD, age 75, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Joe was born on November 24, 1944 in Chester, PA to the late George J. Ardes and Mary (Sipple) Ardes.

Joe was a millwright for GM Automotive. He loved working on cars and his favorites were Corvettes and Firebirds. Joe was interested in all types of automobiles, planes, trains, boats and motorcycles. He was a prankster and will be lovingly remembered for his Irish ways.

Joe is survived by his daughters: Susan E. Hignutt, Christine Marie Ardes-Paulino, Teresa Lynne Zadorzany; sons: Timothy Joseph Ardes, Bradley Stopa; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Hicks; brother, James Ardes, sister-in-law, Denise Platt and her husband, Ronald; niece, Michelle; nephews: Daniel and Mark. In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine P. Ardes.

Services for Joe will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Uschi Keszler’s Pennies-In-Action Cancer Research Fund” or “Tri-State Bird Rescue” and sent in care of R.T.
